What is Paystack?
Paystack is an online payment gateway that makes it easy for merchants to accept credit and debit card payments online from users or customers.
Creating a Paystack Account
To begin with Paystack you are to go to Paystack home page and go through the following steps:
- Click on create account
2. Enter your Business name, Email address, Password and click on create my account
3. This is what the paystack user dashboard looks like…and here you will have to introduce yourself to paystack. When you are done with the introduction, click on complete setup
Well done! You have successfully created your Paystack account.
Your user dashboard should be looking like this now.
you will now have to activate your Business be continuing with these steps
click on continue and go the Business information option and click on Continue.
It takes you to a page where you describe your business, the emails and everything paystack needs to serve you as a merchant and your costumer.
Please note that every option marked as (*) is compulsory and must be filled.
click on Save and you will be taken back to the list of options
Go to the option for Verification Documents and click on continue
Here, you will enter your BVN, state the kind of registration documentation you have (if your business is registered with the CAC if not leave it) then enter a valid Date of birth then click on
Enter your BVN, choose your type of Registration Document (if your business is registered with CAC) then enter your valid Date of Birth and click on Save.
Go to the Settlement Account option and click on Continue
Here you add the account number where you want to be receiving your payment on. then you click on save and you are done
To get your paystack API key, go to Settings, click on API Keys & Webhooks there you will see the API secret and public key.
